President Bio And Family Departs New York After UNGA, Other Engagements

Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio has departed New York for Freetown on Sunday evening after a weeklong engagement in the United States.

He wrote, “As I depart New York after a week of valuable engagements at UNGA78, I’m confident that the seeds for sustainable economic growth and development in Sierra Leone have been sown through the various strategic bilateral engagements.

“From bilateral to diplomatic meetings, one thing was clear: #SierraLeone is set to take its rightful place in the Comity of Nations.

“We are also poised to assume membership in the United Nations Security Council for 2024-2025 to contribute to shaping a more peaceful and prosperous world for all ~ rebuilding trust and promoting global solidarity.

“I look to the future with much optimism, knowing that the journey towards fulfilling our promise to improve the quality of life of our people is contained in the BIG 5 Priority National Development Agenda of my Government.

“Together, we will build back better.”

See how rudely you are referring to your leaders. Apparently, you have no courtesy and respect. What moral authority do you have to tell the president to hand power over to the rightful owner. Who is the rightful owner? The court is opened; the rightful owner should go there to seek redress. Are you the one to fight for them? The manner in which some of you guys are going about doing your politics is not healthy. Some of you are currently yearning and praying for war to brake out in Sierra Leone but I want to assure you and all others like you that if war brakes out, you will regret why you wished for it.
