His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio, and First Lady, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, have arrived safely in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for the 38th African Union (AU) Summit as well as the 29th General Assembly of the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD) at the African Union Commission.
Their involvement shows Sierra Leone’s continuous dedication to regional collaboration, policy discourse, and solving major continental concerns.
The two events will give an opportunity for African leaders to work together on solutions that address the continent’s major issues, such as economic growth, peace, and security.
The Summit is scheduled to focus on major concerns for Africa’s development, whilst the OAFLAD General Assembly will gather together African first ladies to debate measures with the goal of promoting the well-being of children and women across the continent.
