As Muslims across the globe are observing the Holy Month of Ramadan by fasting, Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio has extended a heartfelt message to all Muslims in Sierra Leone and the world.
He wished all Muslims a blessed and peaceful Ramadan.
“I extend brotherly greetings to all Muslims in #SierraLeone and across the World on the holiest month in the Islamic calendar.
In this Holy Month of self-reflection, moral conditioning, and spiritual advancement for #Muslims, I send my heartfelt wishes to all my Brothers and Sisters for a blessed and peaceful month.
RAMADAN MUBARAK!”. He wrote.
Ramadan is a month of fasting wherein one should abstain from eating food during the day and draw closer to their creator (Allah).
Fasting is the 4th pillar of Islam which lasted for 29 or 30 days in the 9th Month of the Islamic calendar Ramadan.
