His Excellency President Dr Julius Maada Bio has paid tribute to the late Paramount Chief Madam Hawah Kpanabom IV of Imperri Chiefdom in the Bonthe District.

The late Paramount Chief was born on 25 September 1932, and was called home to her ancestors on 12 January 2022, 90 years later.

The late Paramount Chief was crowned on the 3 July 1983 and her reign lasted for almost 40 years.

In a tribute to the late chief, His Excellency President Dr Julius Maada Bio described her as somebody whose life was worth emulating, adding that she lived her life fully in the service of her nation and Chiefdom people.

President Bio further noted that the late woman accomplished many things in life, ranging from the construction of schools for her chiefdom people, to the provision of land for the construction of a church, being a peace ambassador and many more.

“On behalf of the government and the people, I want to extend my deepest condolences to the chiefdom people for this great loss. May God richly bless her for the many things she did and may God grant her merciful judgment. On that note, thank you all very much,” he concluded.
