BREAKING: President Bio Releases 160 Prisoners
Mohamed Alim Conteh The President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, His Excellency the President Rt. Brigadier Julius Maada Bio has granted Presidential pardon to one hundred and sixty (160) inmates, pursuant to S. 40 (4) (e) and S. 63 of the 1991 Constitution of Sierra Leone Act No. 6.
Of the 160, 117 had their sentences commuted from the death penalty to life imprisonment, and the remainder 43 will walk out.
