The Office of the President has announced that the Executive Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, has been relieved of his duties by President Julius Maada Bio.
The announcement was contained in an official statement from the Presidency, confirming the immediate removal of Abdulai from office.
The statement further disclosed that he has been replaced by Mohamed Alphaka Conteh, who is expected to assume responsibility for the National Sports Authority, subject to parliamentary approval.
The Office of the President did not provide detailed reasons for the decision.
The National Sports Authority is the statutory body responsible for overseeing and regulating sports administration and development in Sierra Leone.
