Mohamed Mansaray (alias Blacker who many people referred to as a lunatic) has refused to disclose what transpired in court after he was released on bail.

Last week Thursday, Blacker and a businesswoman, Kadiatu Yankaday were remanded after they were both charged with a count of public insult and provocation contrary to Section 2 of the Public Order Act 1965.

Following charges of insulting the president, the matter was adjourned to May 3, and both accused made appearances in court.

Sixteen (16) lawyers in all represented the 1st accused Blacker whilst Boyzie Kamara and three others represented the 2nd defendant Kadiatu Yankaday Kamara.

Blacker told the court that he was lying down at the Connaught Hospital waiting to go through an anemia operation when police officers approached him and asked him to identify the 2nd accused as the person who collects money from Adebayor on his behalf. He said he refused to accept that because he did not know her.

The lead counsel for Blacker, Lawyer Pujeh said that people may not be willing to stand as sureties for Blacker for fear that he might skip bail or awol. He also submitted that the defendant might be an insane person therefore people would not risk standing as sureties for him.

Counsel for the 2nd defendant also backed lawyer Pujeh’s application whilst canvassing the magistrate to grant bail to Kadiatu Kamara.

The 1st defendant Blacker also told the court that he would not skip bail provided he is duly notified at anytime he is supposed to appear in court.

Magistrate Jalloh then handed Blacker to Counsel Pujeh, and granted Le3m ($260) bail bond to the 2nd defendant. The matter was adjourned to May 9 for hearing.

Following his appearances in court, some members of the public approached Blacker, asking him what happened in court. Blacker categorically refused to divulge what happened in court as he walked away.
