The British High Commission team in Sierra Leone is travelling to Port Loko to participate in the District of Excellence Summer Showcase, an event hosted by EducAid in partnership with the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education.

The delegation is being led by the Commission’s Development Director and will join education leaders from Port Loko, Falaba and Pujehun districts at the showcase, which aims to highlight progress achieved through collaboration, leadership and shared learning within the education sector.

According to the British High Commission, the engagement will provide an opportunity to learn more about initiatives and achievements emerging from the District of Excellence programme, while strengthening partnerships focused on improving learning outcomes for children and young people across Sierra Leone.

The Commission noted that strong partnerships between stakeholders remain critical in driving sustainable improvements in education and supporting transformational efforts across the country.

The British High Commission is expected to share updates and pictures from the event as activities unfold.
