CHRDI Partners with Chinese Embassy to Promote Dialogue on Human Rights and Development

The Campaign for Human Rights and Development International (CHRDI) has announced a strategic partnership with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Freetown aimed at promoting mutual respect for human rights and enhancing public understanding of China’s National Human Rights Action Plan (2026–2030).

According to CHRDI, the collaboration is designed to create a platform for constructive dialogue on a people-centred approach to human rights, development, and good governance, while encouraging the exchange of experiences and best practices aligned with international human rights principles and national priorities.

The organisation said the partnership will also support efforts to increase public awareness of China’s human rights framework as outlined in the National Human Rights Action Plan (2026–2030), issued by the State Council Information Office of the People’s Republic of China.

CHRDI noted that the engagement reflects its commitment to fostering discussions that promote human rights awareness, inclusive development, and stronger cooperation among stakeholders.

The partnership between CHRDI and the Chinese Embassy in Freetown is expected to provide opportunities for knowledge sharing and dialogue on approaches to advancing human rights and development.
