The Regional Community Relations Department Freetown-East of the Harbour Police Division on Friday 18th November 2022, onboard SLP 065, embarked on raising awareness within the Harbour community about the existing ban placed on street jogging, street carnival, street shows, and publicity.

Plying along several routes within the community, the CRD Regional Coordinator Freetown-East Sgt. 9585 Dumbuya E.S, and his team, together with the LPPB Regional Secretary General Freetown-East Mr. Melbourne Greene, sensitized the public that no street jogging especially on Sundays is no longer allowed until further notice. Likewise, street carnivals, publicity, shows, and contests that will hinder the flow of traffic are not allowed.

However, they encouraged everyone that may want to jog to utilize the football field, compound, or any beach, but must ensure that they completely avoid using the street and thereby disturb the free flow of traffic. And for this same purpose, all street carnivals, publicity, shows, and contests that are done by blocking and utilizing a particular street must stop henceforth or risk being arrested and prosecuted
