CoPPP and many Sierra Leoneans have took the street of Freetown, offices and business places and mourned the death of democracy.

The Black Monday was initiated by the Consortium of Progressive Political Parties in Sierra Leone, otherwise known as the COPPP which allows Sierra Leoneans to wear black dress while going on their normal routines. It is a sign to show to the government that the people of Sierra Leone are not happy with the way things are going in the country in terms of hardship, poor medical facilities, injustice and recent suspension of the Auditor General, Lara Taylor-Pearce.

However, this made CoPPP to mourn the death of democracy today 22nd November, 2021 through a peaceful march and delivered two letters to the Attorney General and the Chief Justice detailing all the constitutional and human rights abuses as well as the sacking of Mrs. Lara Taylor-Pearce by the SLPP government of president Maada Bio.
