Sierra Leonean rapper Alhaji Amadu Bah, popularly known as LAJ, has been remanded in custody following his appearance at Bo Magistrate Court No. 2 today, with the trial adjourned to 8th April 2026.
LAJ faces three counts of alleged cyberbullying and insulting conduct directed at the Mayor of Kenema City, Thomas Karimu Baio, under the Cyber Security and Crime Act 2021 and the Public Order Act 1965.
During today’s session, the court heard from the prosecution, while the defence made representations regarding bail. However, Magistrate presiding over the case declined to grant bail, ordering that LAJ remain in custody at the Male Correctional Facility in Bo.
The decision to deny bail follows the court’s assessment of the seriousness of the charges and concerns raised over the rapper’s previous failure to appear.

That’s good
If Zainab Sheriff is still languishing at Pademba Road Correctional Centre for failing to honour police invitation, why should LAJ be treated differently? He is a flight risk.
Point of correction. LAJ is no longer a Peace Ambassador and should not be referred to or treated as such. He is nothing but a common criminal and a lawless bandit. The title of Peace Ambassador was taken away from him by H.E President Bio about two weeks ago. (Their Boss LAJ) should fully face the consequences of his actions.
