The newly appointed Deputy Minister of Information And Civic Education, Yesuf Keketomah Sandi has promised citizens of timely and credible Information on government programs and activities and also strengthened the government’s civic engagement across governance.
Sandi made this promise during his interview with the Committee on Appointment of the Sierra Leone Parliament.
Sandi during his interview stated that his experience as the former Press Secretary in the office of the president has prepared him for the huge task ahead of him.
After his interview with parliamentarians, sandi posted on Facebook “Today, I had the distinct privilege to be interviewed by the Parliamentary Committee on Appointments for my proposed new role as Deputy Minister of Information and Civic Education. I assured the Committee that my experience as former Press Secretary to the President has laid the foundation for me to augment Government Information Service and expand the national civic education program. I thank the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, and other members of the Committee including the APC Minority Leader for the invitation.”
