New school sensation, Benjamin Menelik Geroge popularly Known as Drizilik has set a new streaming record, as he becomes the first Sierra Leonean musician across all genres to get two million plays on a music streaming platform.

The hip-hop and afrobeats artist this week reached the streaming milestone on Audiomack.

Reacting to his digital success, Drizilik gave the credit to his fans and his management team.

“I have an amazing team beside me. They make it possible for me to be able to continue to make music for my fans, but two million streams? That’s nothing but fan love. The Shukubly did this” he stated.

The Shukubly hit maker joined Audiomack in 2018 to make it easier for fans to explore and share his music.

His recent single, Exodus for his upcoming sophomore album, Ashobi has generated 315000 plays so far. Some of his other hits on Audiomack are; Waste Time, released in October 2020 has 215000 plays, Tell, released in April 2020 has 196000 plays, Shukubly is also another monstrous hit on the streaming platform.

Audiomack is the preferred streaming platform for people in Sierra Leone. Unlike Apple and Spotify, Audiomack users do not have to pay to access music.

Other top Sierra Leonean musicians with outstanding streams on Audimack include; Kao Denero with 883000 plays, Emmerson with 665000 plays, Star Zee with 577000 plays, and Rozzy Sokota with 146000 plays.
