The Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) has officially addressed the issue of delayed payments for ad-hoc polling personnel who played crucial roles during the general elections held on June 24, 2023.
Expressing regret over the delay, the ECSL has taken proactive steps in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Rokel Commercial Bank (RCB) Ltd to ensure that all ad-hoc polling staff receive their rightful payments promptly.
To streamline the payment process, the ECSL has established a dedicated Payment Call Center. This center will directly reach out to eligible ad-hoc polling personnel, gathering vital information necessary for the payment process and providing them with essential details about payment timelines and locations.
In order to facilitate the smooth processing and receipt of payment, all eligible ad-hoc polling staff are required to present a valid identification issued under the laws of Sierra Leone.
The ECSL extends its heartfelt gratitude to the ad-hoc polling staff for their outstanding work during the elections and their patience in awaiting their compensation. The Commission, along with its esteemed partners, is fully committed to ensuring that all payments are processed promptly and without further delays.
For any inquiries or assistance, ad-hoc polling personnel can contact the dedicated Payment Call Center at +232 90-077-108 or +232-90-077-109.
