ECSL Discusses Early Voting Regulations For Hajj Pilgrims
Mohamed Aruna The Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL) on the 10th February, 2023 rolled out discussion on the regulations for early voting for Hajj Pilgrims in line with Section 33 of the 1991 Constitution of Sierra Leone.
The Political Parties Liaison Committee meeting which gathered members from the political parties, EMBs, SLP, CHRDI and many more was chaired by the commissioner for the Southern Region, Edmond Alpha and the discussion was initiated by the Chief Electoral Commissioner Mohamed K. Konneh.
The Commission has recently engaged in training of trainers for All Political Parties Association (APPA) on the District Block Proportional Representation System for the June 24, 2023 election at the ECSL’s conference room in Freetown.
The session also trained 14 political party leaders and representatives have been also trained on early and late elections control mechanisms ahead of the June elections.
