The Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) engaged a broad spectrum of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) on the country’s electoral process and the progress made in implementing the Cross-Party Committee (Tripartite) Recommendations.
The engagement brought together CSOs working in the areas of governance, accountability, women’s empowerment, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and youth development.
Furthermore, the discussions focused on ECSL’s disposal of obsolete electoral materials and the implementation status of the 55 out of the 80 Tripartite Recommendations relating to elections, for which ECSL serves as the duty bearer.
Finally, the Commission reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive stakeholder collaboration in strengthening Sierra Leone’s democratic and electoral processes.
