Popular media consultant and entrepreneur, Vickie Remoe has predicted that the Sierra Leone Presidential elections held June 24th, 2023 will end in a run-off.

“When the 100% of votes are tallied I still believe we will go to a run-off,” She said on Twitter.

Her statement followed the announcement by the Chief Electoral Commissioner, who revealed that 60% of the election results had been accounted for, encompassing every polling center across the country.

Vickie begins by expressing her hope that the anxiety levels have subsided with the release of 60% of the presidential results, indicating President Bio’s lead. She emphasizes that the candidate who emerges victorious in the first round is likely to secure victory in the second round as well, highlighting that it is highly improbable for the second-placed candidate to surpass the leader in the subsequent round.

Furthermore, she eagerly awaits the release of data by the National Election Watch (NEW), which would serve to corroborate the information provided by the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL). According to the data from NEW, derived from a sample size encompassing all polling stations, President Bio maintained a lead in the first round, bolstering Vickie’s belief in his potential re-election in the second round.

In conclusion, Vickie urges citizens to exercise patience and await the final announcement of the results by the ECSL. She hopes that the partial results have granted them a sense of freedom and tranquility to carry on with their daily activities.
