Former President of Sierra Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma has yesterday held a meeting with the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa as part of a special envoys of the Global Steering Committee for the Campaign for Nature.

The former president made this disclosure on social media.

As special envoys of the Global Steering Committee for the Campaign For Nature, we are pleased that our meeting in South Africa with the president Cyril Ramaphosa on the 30×30 was quite remarkable. We all share a common passion for the protection of biodiversity,” Koroma stated.

He added that the science is very clear and they must work towards the protection of their environments.

If we do not increase our protected areas and fully commit to sustainable green development by 2030, we will lose over one million species,” the former president asserted.
