Former President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma is rumoured to head the African Union Elections Observer Mission in the 2023 general elections in Sierra Leone.

It is also reported that he will be the head of African Union Observer Mission in Africa at large.

According to the source of the information, Salkay Koda, the authorization of the Former President of Sierra Leone is being inferred to his appointment as Chairman of The African Union Elections observer Mission for the next few years.

Having retired from national politics and as chairman and leader of the All Peoples Congress under which he ruled for two consecutive terms, the most high profile statement for the country at International level is now to take an international role in politicking not as a politician but as an overseer for the whole of the African continent under African Union. He is expected to take over the chairmanship from the current chairman, Former President Obasanjo of Nigeria,” he stated.

 

“If so, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, The European Union and the current National Electoral Commissioner of Sierra Leone are to decide the faith of the 2023 elections in Sierra Leone,” Koda stated.
