Former President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma has extends birthday wishes to his beloved wife, Sia Nyama Koroma.

The former President today twitted “A very happy Birthday to you my dear wife. On this Special day, I celebrate your care, love and hard work. May you celebrate in Peace, happiness and God’s blessings.”

Sia Nyama Koroma celebrate her 64th birthday today. She was born on 19 March 1958 in, Kono District, British Sierra Leone. She is a Sierra Leonean biochemist and psychiatric nurse.

Nyama served as First Lady of Sierra Leone from 17 September 2007 – 4 April 2018. She is the wife of Ernest Bai Koroma, the 4th President of Sierra Leone.

Nyama was a pioneer in her role as First Lady, established the Office of the First Lady to undertake development initiatives. She focused on projects for Sierra Leonean women and children.

She is the founder of the Women’s Initiative for Safer Health (WISH) project which focuses on improving reproductive health for women.
