Fake Degree Saga : Parliament Invites Academic Staff Association of USL
Morlai Ibrahim Kamara In a bid to address issues relating to Fake Degrees in Sierra Leone, the Parliament of Sierra Leone in a letter dated 11th November 2022 has invited the membership of the Academic Staff Association in a meeting schedule for Wednesday 23rd November, 2022 at 2:00 Pm at the Parliament of Sierra Leone ( Training Centre).
The rationale behind the meeting is to discuss the proliferation of Fake degrees in the country and to gather support for a sustainable solution to the issue.
The said letter was addressed to Dr. Williette James, President Academic Staff Association, University of Sierra Leone, and was signed by the Chairman of Special Select Committee on Fake Degree, Parliament of Sierra Leone Hon. Dr. Kandeh Yumkella.
We’ll patiently wait and see what will be the action and reaction to the victims. The salary they were receiving is from we the poor sierra Leoneans. We are expecting a strong reactions toward them.
