Fatima Maada Bio Honours Late Rev. Prophetess Brandon at Laying-Out Ceremony in Freetown
First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone and President of the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD), Dr Fatima Maada Bio, on Friday attended the Civic Laying-out Ceremony of the late Rev. Prophetess Margaret Nabeh Brandon, where she signed the Book of Condolence and paid an emotional tribute to the revered spiritual leader.
The ceremony, held at the Freetown City Council Auditorium, brought together bereaved family members, religious leaders, government officials, friends, and sympathisers to celebrate the life and legacy of Rev. Prophetess Brandon of Living Waters Ministry Sierra Leone, who passed away on June 23, 2026.
In her tribute, the First Lady reflected on the profound influence the late cleric had on her life, describing the occasion as deeply personal.
She noted that Rev. Prophetess Brandon was more than a respected religious leader, referring to her as a mother figure whose unwavering love, prayers, guidance, and encouragement played a significant role in shaping her life and strengthening her Christian faith.
Dr Fatima Maada Bio also acknowledged the late prophetess’s lifelong commitment to serving God and humanity, saying her compassion, humility, and dedication to uplifting others earned her admiration across communities and left a lasting impact on many lives.
The solemn ceremony featured prayers, tributes, and moments of reflection as mourners honoured the enduring legacy of Rev. Prophetess Margaret Nabeh Brandon, whose life of faith and selfless service was celebrated by those whose lives she touched.
The First Lady concluded by praying for the peaceful repose of the late prophetess and expressed hope that her legacy of faith, love, and service would continue to inspire future generations.
