Dr Luigi Manganiello, Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Sierra Leone in Italy, has received recognition in the latest edition of the official newsletter of the National Federation of Foreign Diplomats and Consuls in Italy (FENCO), following his appointment to the Federation’s National Executive Board for the 2025–2027 term.
Published on 23 July 2026 in Rome, Issue No. 83 (July–August 2026) of the FENCO newsletter features an extensive profile of Dr Manganiello, highlighting his diplomatic service and his efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Sierra Leone and Italy.
The publication outlines his contributions to promoting consular diplomacy, international cooperation, investment, education and cultural exchange, noting that his work has focused on enhancing institutional partnerships that support sustainable development and mutual economic growth.
According to the newsletter, Dr Manganiello has played a key role in fostering collaboration among government institutions, businesses, universities and civil society organisations. His initiatives have sought to expand opportunities for trade, investment, academic cooperation and scientific exchange between the two countries.
The publication further emphasises that modern consular diplomacy extends beyond providing assistance to citizens, serving as an important platform for building stronger bilateral ties, encouraging dialogue and facilitating international partnerships.
