The Office of the President has appointed Augustine Moses Tehguma Koroma to serve as the new National Programme Coordinator of the Free Quality School Education.

Koroma’s appointment was announced in a letter from the Permanent Secretary to the President on Wednesday, September 13.

I write to inform you that it has pleased His Excellency the President, Brig. (Rtd) Julius Maada Bio to appoint you as National Programme Coordinator, Free Quality School Education, Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education,” the letter reads.

Koroma is expected to start in his new role pending his acceptance or otherwise of his appointment in writing.

The Free Quality School Education Department is responsible for coordinating efforts to improve Sierra Leone’s primary and secondary school education.

Bio campaigned on providing free education for primary and secondary pupils in the 2018 elections.

His Administration has invested millions of US Dollars into education in the past five years. The President believes that developing his country’s human capital is strategic to their growth as a nation.
