The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MoPED) has issued a public notice declaring that the group operating under the name “World Changing Centre Charity” is not a registered non-governmental organization in Sierra Leone.
According to the official release from the Ministry’s headquarters at Tower Hill, the organization lacks government recognition and is not authorized to carry out or implement any programs across the country.
The government has instructed the general public, development partners, and international bodies to refrain from engaging in any business or dealings with the charity.
Additionally, MoPED urges anyone with information regarding funds received by “World Changing Centre Charity” for local operations to immediately notify the Ministry or report directly to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Sierra Leone Police.
