The United States Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Ambassador Hunt and the team from the Millennium Cooperation Challenge (MCC) have engaged the Chief Minister of Sierra Leone, David Moinina Sengeh.

The MCC earlier informed the movement of Ambassador Hunt and a delegation from MCC led by MCC’s Managing Director for Selection and Eligibility Dan Barnes, that they will be meeting with a range of stakeholders to discuss steps taken to address Sierra Leone’s electoral process.

They engaged the Chief Minister and the minister of energy, Alhaji Kanja Sesay. These meeting were to discuss the important role they played in pushing forward electoral and constitutional reforms.

They Chief Minister maintained that, they had a frank discussion on governance, development and cooperation between the government of Sierra Leone and the United State Government.

“We are all aligned on the significant progress being made to foster dialogue and a health democracy,” he maintained.

They maintained that, the United States remains committed to supporting Sierra Leone’s democracy and economic prosperity.
