“Imagine There Are Two Kabakas in Sierra Leone” – Nasser Ayoub Heaps Praises on Kabaka
Morlai Ibrahim Kamara Popular Sierra Leonean musician, Nasser Ayoub has expressed mix reactions over Businessman and Lawyer, Abubakarr Turay, commonly refer to as Kabaka annual performance payment to Sierra Leonean Artists for his Ecofest show.
In a viral Facebook post ” Nasser Ayoub Stated that “Imagine there were 2 kabakas in SL, where the other Also invests in SL Artists ONLY end of Yr Show, Paying each 15,000$.”
His post came against the backdrop of controversies surrounding Kabaka’s payment of Local and foreign Artists for his annual Ecofest events.
Kabaka has received mixed reactions over his usual lucrative payments to foreign Artists for Performance at the annual ECO fest Event. However, Nasser Ayoub is of the view that if we have a similar Kabaka that will pay 15,000$ to Sierra Leone Artists for Performance will be good for the entertainment industry.
This year’s ECO fest event is scheduled to take place on Saturday 10th December 2022 at the Sierra Leone Football Association Academy ground.
