Indian High Commission Staff Take Swachhhta Pledge in Sierra Leone
Aaron Parker Officials and staff members of the High Commission of India in Sierra Leone have taken the Swachhhta Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to promoting cleanliness and public health.
The pledge reflects Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of a clean, healthy, and developed nation and forms part of efforts to support the message of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Through the pledge, members of the High Commission committed to volunteering 100 hours each year towards cleanliness activities and helping to spread awareness about the importance of maintaining clean and healthy surroundings.
The High Commission emphasised that cleanliness is a shared responsibility, encouraging individuals to contribute through practical actions that can help create cleaner communities.
The initiative underscores the importance of collective participation in promoting hygiene, environmental cleanliness, and healthier living spaces.
