The All People’s Congress (APC) flagbearer for the 24 June elections, Samura Kamara has refused to acknowledge defeat in the 2018 election.
Kamara, while speaking to his supporters after their just concluded Delegates’ Conference in Makeni, said the election ‘was stolen’ from him.
The former Bank Governor told Awoko that he is the best candidate to take the APC party back to State House after the 24 June elections.
He said that his main focus to alleviate what he consider to be the suffering of the masses due to bad administration.
Kamara appreciated the support he gained during the party’s primaries and promised to repay them with victory.
At the party’s NDC, Kamara was able to win by a landslide this weekend. Some of the candidates have already conceded defeat in the party’s primaries.
The result will see Samura Kamara lineup for the second time in what political analysts say will be more contested than 2018.
Yesterday thousands of APC supporters thronged the street of Freetown to welcome their presidential candidate in Freetown.
In another news, Justice Adrian Fisher has denied the no case submission made by APC candidate’s lawyers this afternoon.
