Sierra Leone’s former President, Ernest Bai Koroma, has sympathized with the bereaved families of victims in the bloody August 10th protest in Sierra Leone.
The former president is currently out of the country on an African Union Election Observation Mission, from where he was briefed of the terrible incident that unfolded in the country.
With heavy heart he wrote on twitter that he has been briefed that sadly protests in Sierra Leone yesterday resulted in loss of lives, after which he sent his deepest condolences to the bereaved families.
He emphasized that violence is never the answer to anything and therefore should be condemned.
Having said that, he ended by urging for calm and restraint on both sides and prayed for the lost souls to Rest In Peace.
