Sierra Leone’s Former President Ernest Bai Koroma has declared that he has forgiven everyone and is focused on moving forward, following his return to Sierra Leone.
Speaking during his welcome in Makeni, Koroma expressed appreciation to all those who prayed, fasted and played various roles in facilitating his return home.
He commended President Julius Maada Bio for demonstrating what he described as magnanimity by facilitating his return, providing him with security and assuring him of his entitlements as a former President.
Koroma also thanked ECOWAS leaders, as well as current and former Presidents of Nigeria, for their role in helping to facilitate his return to Sierra Leone.
“I am back home with a new spirit. I give God all the glory because my life is a living testimony,” Koroma said.
He added: “I have forgiven everybody. I am moving forward. I will take steps to let those who have done wrong to me know that I have forgiven them.”
