The Sierra Leone Police have officially declared 18-year-old Abdulai Koroma wanted in connection with several offences linked to the violent demonstrations that occurred in Freetown on August 10, 2022.
According to a wanted notice issued by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Koroma is accused of incitement, conspiracy, divulging of information, and disorderly behaviour during the unrest that affected parts of the capital.
The police identified the suspect as Abdulai Koroma, a student residing at No. 39A City Road, Wellington, Freetown. The notice states that he was born on January 1, 2008, and is a Sierra Leonean national.
Investigators said a warrant of arrest, referenced CID RRPS 105/2026, has been issued for his apprehension. The case is connected to the police investigation into the August 10, 2022 violent demonstrations, which resulted in loss of lives, destruction of property, and widespread public disorder.
The Sierra Leone Police have appealed to members of the public to assist with information that could lead to Koroma’s arrest. Citizens who see him or know his whereabouts have been urged to contact the CID Headquarters on Pademba Road, Freetown, the nearest police station, or call the number provided in the police notice.
Police further stated that a reward will be offered to anyone who provides useful information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
The declaration forms part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement authorities to pursue individuals wanted in connection with the August 10 disturbances and to ensure that those under investigation are brought before the courts.

Since when did the police started arresting kids? It’s a big shame on the force and a slap to our face as a nation.
The ones calling the shots should know better than to arrest kids.
They know better than to go after the weak, and vulnerable youths and citizens of this nation. Bho duya leh dem fen betteh woke do bho. Declaration a child wanted? C’mon man! This is unlike the force for good we used to know before.
Julius Maada Bio committed treason for violently stealing the June 24th 2023 elections. He still remains illegitimate until the full publication of the elections results is announced. There Is nothing wrong in removing a serial criminal in Julius Maada Bio who has consistently committed criminal activity in Sierra Leone since 1996 stealing $18M of the state resources, human right abuses, coup detats etc. He will face accountability this time. Sierra Leone doesn’t belong to Julius Maada Bio. His behavior is not one of a decent Sierra Leonean. He should perhaps find his ancestral route and get out of Sierra Leone before the competent ICC grabs him. He has dragged the name of Sierra Leone to the mud with his illicit cocaine drug trade. Shame on him.
