Sierra Leonean rapper Samuel Bola Bangura known by his stage name Lox P has announced his decision to retire from the music industry.
In an emotional post shared on his official Facebook page, Lox P the winner of the 2019 AYV Cypher explained that he has been facing personal challenges that have started to impact his career.
“Am going through a lot these days and such is affecting my career,” Lox P wrote. “Instead of me always giving my fans fake hope, I have decided to quit the game and move on with life.”
Lox P, known for his involvement in the Sierra Leonean music scene and collaborations with artists such as Shekunta and Kracktwist, expressed gratitude to his fans and friends who have supported him along the way. “Thanks to all my friends and fans who stood by me to this pick, am really grateful, and I pray you understand,” he concluded.
