President Julius Maada Bio has received the 2025 Annual Report and the 2025–2026 Strategic Plan from the Independent Commission for Peace and National Cohesion (ICPNC), commending the institution for its role in promoting peace and national unity.
The documents were presented on the 5th August 2026 by the Commission’s commissioners, Executive Secretary, and staff during a meeting with the President.
Following the presentation, President Bio praised the ICPNC for what he described as its outstanding contribution to strengthening peace across Sierra Leone. He said the Commission’s work has helped establish a firm foundation for the effective and sustainable implementation of its mandate.
“I was delighted to receive the Commissioners, Executive Secretary, and staff of the Independent Commission for Peace and National Cohesion for the presentation of the Commission’s 2025 Annual Report and Strategic Plan for 2025–2026.
“I commended the Commission for its exceptional service in strengthening our national peace and laying a solid foundation for the effective and sustainable fulfilment of its mandate.”
The presentation highlights the Commission’s continued engagement with the Presidency as it advances its efforts to promote peace, reconciliation, and national cohesion across the country.
