Lawyer Ady Macaulay has conceded defeat and congratulated Lawyer Lansana Dumbuya for emerging victorious as the new Secretary General of the main opposition, All Peoples Congress (APC) at the party’s national delegates conference ongoing in Makeni.

Ady Macauley who was tipped to win the position polled 673 votes behind Lansana Dumbuya who got 916 votes. A third contestant, Suleman Kamara polled only 60 votes.

Reacting to the results, Lawyer Macauley warmly congratulates Lansana Dumbuya and pledges full support to him.

He said in the APC, contests should not be seen as battles and contestants are not enemies.

He admitted that it was a tough fight but he enjoyed it. He said he didn’t consider this as a loss rather, it’s a win for the APC.

Macualey believes that from here onward, the APC will not turn back until national electoral victory is attained on June 24.
