The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS) has presented a consolidated 12-month delivery agenda to fast-track implementation of the government’s flagship Feed Salone initiative during a high-level Delivery Clinic organised by the Office of the Chief Minister at State House.
The inter-agency engagement convened ministers, senior government officials, technical directors, and implementing agencies to establish implementation timelines, assign accountability, and address operational bottlenecks across government ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs).

To ensure project delivery within the September 2026 – August 2027 window, MAFS called for targeted cross-governmental support to eliminate recurring operational delays. Specific challenge areas highlighted include procurement speed, customs clearance for machinery and inputs, contractor performance management, and timely disbursement of budget allocations.
The presence of core oversight and central government institutions, including the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, the Cabinet Secretariat, and the National Monitoring and Evaluation Agency, aimed to align financial planning with field execution.
Government officials noted that the collaborative framework established at the clinic will allow monitoring bodies to track milestone commitments continuously, ensuring that resources are deployed effectively to boost national food security and economic growth.
