The Pragmatic Member of Parliament for Constituency 115, Hon. Amadu Bah, has authoritatively told Voice of Salone Newspaper on Monday 6th September, 2021 at around 11:00 AM that for August this year, Parliamentarians are yet to receive their salaries.

He made this disclosure while highlighting series of his achievements made in his constituency, which he said, 50% of them has been done out of his salary.

Hon. Bah categorically stated that the delay in the payment of their salary has actually affect their livelihood. “We don’t know what is happening with our August salary, as nobody has even come up to speak to us”, Hon. Bah told Voice of Salone Newspaper on Monday at around 11:00 AM.

He went on to say that when the SLPP government took over the mantle of leadership in 2018, they started paying them at the end of every month or sometimes they pay them earlier before the month comes to an end but for August, it is a different story.

He rhetorically asked without the payment of their salary, how does the government want them to survive especially when they have family to take care of and many things to attend to their constituencies.
