Military Officer Shoots Himself Dead in Freetown
Deborah Sorie A tragic incident occurred in Freetown today as an officer of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) took his own life.
Reports indicate that the soldier, driven by emotional distress over alleged infidelity by his partner, turned the gun on himself.
A distressing video circulating on social media captures the moments leading up to the incident. Witnesses can be heard pleading with the soldier to reconsider his actions, but he refused, pointing the firearm at his chest and firing.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation. Authorities are working to gather more details about the soldier’s personal life and the events that led to the tragic outcome.

It is in the Sierra Leone act that no one has the right to take his or her own life or any other sierra Leonean. He waisted the precious life giving him by the creator. What sought of depression can lead him to his death like this? He had committed a crime in the nation and sinned against God for taking his own life. Now I wonder what await him in the after life.

Oh my God 😮 this guy why must you kill yourself this way? Infidelity offence are issues that can be resolved. This alleged infidelity offence is when a soldier is caught of suspected of Sleeping with his colleague’s wife or daughter. Should that be the reason for me to kill myself because my wife accused me? God forbid.
