Sisters from the Brahama Kumaris World  Spiritual University an International Non-governmental organization with 8500 centers in over 100 countries has engaged some students on Positive thinking at the Student Union building on Fourah Bay College.

This was followed by a donation of dust bins by the Milla group of companies in Sierra Leone.

The Students’ Union Government, Fourah Bay College, through the Ministry of Housing and Environment, facilitated for the donation of dust bins from the Milla Group Limited Sierra Leone for hostel residents on campus.

The strive for the donation of the dust bins came as a result of the series of concerns and complains from hostel residents about the unavailability of bins to dump their waste at various blocks, which, in return, was affecting their stay and well being at the hostel.

The Ministry of Housing and Environment as part of its mandate, which is to ensure that hostel residents do have the best in terms of their basic necessities and also to ensure that the atmospheric condition of the campus be a conducive one for learning purposes, the minister, Mr Sulaiman Alim Bangura, through the unflinching support and effort of the Students’ Union President, Madam Adama Sillah; tend to solicit an help from the Milla Group of company to donate ten (10) large size dust bins which are to be stationed at every resident block on campus.

During the donation, the President of the Students’ Union Government thanked the Milla Group Limited for their kind gesture and she states that the availability of these bins will tend to prevent residents from dumping their waste on any unwarranted area at the hostel.

The Minister of housings and Environment crave on indulgences of hostel residents to judiciously make use of the bins so it can serve it rightful purpose.

In conclusion, the President, Madam Adam Sillah, reassured members present about her Government’s continuing effort and strides in prioritizing the needs of all students at Fourah Bay College.
