While delivering a statement last Thursday in Makeni city before commissioning the new Modern Child Health Care Clinical Research Laboratory in Bombali, Austin Demby, the Minister of Health and Sanitation rated Magburaka Government Hospital as the cleanest health facility nationwide. His pronouncement follows strong commitments to further transform the health sector in the country by at heightening collaboration with y both local and international wealth partners.

“Today we’ve converged here to commission one of the best health facilities in the country, of course the only clinical and research laboratory for children nationwide. As clean as this facility is today, I would love to see it being tidy like the Magburaka Government
Hospital, the cleanest hospital nationwide hands down,” he pronounced Minister Demby continued urging other health care facilities in the country to ensure tidiness in their own facilities at all times, saying that will further improve the al y hygiene conditions in health centres which resonates well with Government’s efforts   to promote hygiene on the sidelines of improving access to health in the country.
“We now have more health facilities nationwide than ever, at least there is a health facility available between every the 5-kilomenter distance and with a over 1,500 Peripheral Health o Units-(PHU) functional across all regions. This is what His Excellency Retired Brigadier of Julius Maada Bio meant when he promised to provide a better an and sustainable Health system for the people of Sierra Leone.” This new international
