The Deputy Minister of Energy I, Dr Abdul Rahim Jalloh, and his delegation on Friday 9th October 2026, arrived in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to attend the 25th WPC Energy Congress, scheduled for 11 to 15 October 2026.

The WPC, formerly the World Petroleum Council and now rebranded as WPC Energy, is a five-day congress convened under the theme: “Pathways to an Energy Future for All.” The Congress will focus on balancing energy security, economic growth, environmental responsibility and energy equity.

The programme features 31 technical forums, ministerial roundtables and executive dialogues covering oil and gas markets, artificial intelligence, carbon management, hydrogen, critical minerals and the transition to renewable energy, which aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

This marks the first time in the organisation’s 90-year history that Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest energy producer, is hosting its flagship event. The Congress is expected to attract 25,000 global energy leaders, heads of state and representatives from over 70 countries, as well as more than 300 CEOs, academics and innovators.

Upon arrival, the Deputy Minister was warmly received by His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Barrie, Deputy Ambassador Abdul Aziz Turay and the Head of Chancery, Alhaji Ahmed Tejan Kabba.
Dr Jalloh was accompanied by the Technical Director of EDSA, Mr Chernor Sulaiman Jalloh, and the Environmental Specialist, Mr Abdulai Conteh.
