Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Communication Mourns the Loss of Assistant Director of Procurement, Jason Turay
Kadijatu Barrie Tragedy Strikes as Mr. Jason Turay, Assistant Director of Procurement at the Ministry of Communication, Innovation and Technology dies in Fatal Road Accident En Route to Makeni, on Sunday 7th September 2025.
In remembrance of Mr. Turay, staff of the Ministry gathered in the ministry’s conference hall for a heartfelt meeting honoring his contributions.
Colleagues described him as a person of integrity, known for his quiet strength and unwavering commitment to his work. Many recalled his willingness to mentor others and his calm demeanor, which made him a trusted professional and a cherished friend.
His passing represents a significant loss not only for the Procurement Directorate but also for the broader public service community.
