Ministry of Health Collaborates With MoCTI to Bolster Technology in Healthcare
Salamatu Y. Kamara The Minister of Health and Sanitation, Dr. Austin Demby and his senior management team, today, Thursday, July 10 2025, hosted a high-profile delegation from the Ministry of Communication Technology and Innovation (MoCTI) led by the Minister, Madam Salima Bah.
The deliberations highlighted a number of endless possibilities for a collaboration on how to leverage technology in healthcare.
The Minister of Health is determined to urgently integrate digital solutions in healthcare, particularly in the area of transparent recruitment, retention, efficiency of staff and performance monitoring in service delivery.
Minister Salima assured Dr. Demby of MoCTI’s strong desire to support the health sector in integrating easy-to-use and reliable technology to improve health service provision.
This crucial meeting comes in the wake of the Government’s announcement to recruit 3000 health workers across all cadres. The Health Minister desires to make this recruitment as transparent as possible, and the exciting possibility of using technology to make this happen cannot be more timely.
