The National Commission for Civic Education and Development (NACCED) has formally presented its Annual Progress Report to the Ministry of Information and Civic Education, marking a key milestone in fulfilling its statutory reporting obligations.

The report was handed over by NACCED Chairman, Mr Bindi, to the Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, during a ceremony attended by the Deputy Minister and the Permanent Secretary.

Speaking during the presentation, Mr Bindi stressed NACCED’s commitment to institutional transparency and accountability. He noted that the Commission prioritised submitting the progress report to the Ministry before sharing it with international development partners.

Mr Bindi also revealed that the agency’s financial report has been prepared and will be formally submitted to the Minister as soon as the pending audit process is finalised.

Highlighting recent operational achievements, the Chairman recalled a retreat held earlier this year where NACCED established its strategic roadmap and key priorities for the period ahead. He reaffirmed the Commission’s dedication to meeting its legal duties and maintaining strong executive oversight.

Receiving the document, Minister Bah commended the leadership and staff of NACCED for what he characterised as impressive organisational momentum.

“This is indeed a reflection of tremendous progress at NACCED,” Minister Bah remarked, assuring the delegation that he would thoroughly review the details of the report.

The minister praised Bindi’s steadfast leadership and promised to explore avenues to bring the Commission’s progress to the attention of His Excellency the President. He underscored the vital role NACCED plays as a key agency under the Ministry’s purview and pledged continued institutional support to strengthen joint civic education initiatives across the country.
