The newly appointed Minister of Employment, Labour and Social Security, Hon. Umaru Napoleon Koroma, has received representatives from various Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening collaboration between the Ministry and civil society.
The visit held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, was organised to congratulate Minister Koroma on his appointment and to extend best wishes as he assumes responsibility for the Ministry.
The engagement also provided an opportunity for the Minister and the NGO representatives to discuss the importance of closer cooperation and mutual understanding between the Government and civil society organisations.
The representatives expressed their willingness to support constructive engagement with the Ministry as it advances policies and initiatives in the interest of the people of Sierra Leone.
The meeting reflects the shared commitment to strengthening partnerships between the Ministry and civil society in addressing employment, labour and social development priorities.
Minister Koroma’s engagement with the NGOs comes as he begins his tenure at the Ministry, with continued collaboration expected to support the implementation of policies and programmes aimed at serving the broader interests of Sierra Leoneans.
