The National Youth Service (NYS) Batch 7 has commenced as 400 graduates embark on a 21-day transformative training journey, paving the way for a year-long government placement.

This initiative is a key component of Pillars 3 and 4 of President Bio’s Big Five Game Changers focusing on Human Capital Development through the Youth Employment Scheme (YES!).

The NYS initiative is designed to empower young Sierra Leonean graduates between the ages of 18 and 35 to equip them with the necessary skills for a smooth transition into the country’s competitive job market. Additionally, the program focuses on personal skills development, fostering both personal growth and national development.

Since its inception in 2018, the National Youth Service has made significant strides in recruiting, training, and providing internships to young graduates. With over 1,000 success stories of full-time employment in both the public and private sectors, the NYS has emerged as a vital tool for youth employment in Sierra Leone.
