Native Cnsortium and Research Center has reacted to the marginal reduction of the pump price of fuel from Le20 to le 19, and strongly called on PRA to further reduce prices to Le16.

The Consortium gave their reaction in a public notice issued on Saturday 30 July, 2022, signed by signed by Executive Director, Edmond Abu Jr.

The Consortium start by thanking the Petroleum Regulatory Agency (PRA) for the reduction, which they say has become a weekly dash or pleasantry.
They, however, continue to appeal that the reduction Is not proportionate to the world Market reduction, which at the moment makes little or no impact in the transport price pole-to-pole.

“We won’t get tired of continuing to appeal to the PRA for a reduction to at least Le 16 to ameliorate and cushion the economic burden on the populace,” the Consortium stated.

“The Consortium continues to call on the Oil Marketers and Dealers whose job is not to create artificial scarcityy and take the nation hostage and blackmail the Government not to reduce the pump price. The nemesis of Sierra Leoneans will catch up with their ill-gotten wealth,” they added.
