Njala University Responds to Rumors About Its Freetown Building

Njala University administration has on Wednesday 22nd March 2023 issued a press release, debunking rumors on social media claiming that the university building at 19 Henry Street in Freetown is in a precarious condition.

The press release stated that it was reported that there was a loud sound coming from the building which led lecturers and students to leave the building for their safety.

The release continued that based on the rumors, the administration conducted an immediate investigation from its lecturers and student in Freetown to verify the report adding that from the report they gathered, the sound came from a nearby construction site.

The press release further stated that the administration is assuring the public that the building is structurally stable and in a good condition.

It concluded by stating that, an Engineering Firm will be contracted to reassess the building’s structural stability and present a report to the administration for further action.
