The Management of National Petroleuem (SL) Limited has called on its customers to exercise patience and assured that they will do their utmost to ensure the availability of petroleum products during the festive season.

NP gave this assurance in press release issued today, Monday 12 December 2022, regarding the current situation of long queues at fuel stations across the country.

NP stated that they are contended with greater demands for fuel due to the fact that they have the bulk of the stock available in the country, with Leonoil having the smaller quantity.

“For the past 10 days, NP, with some support from Leonoil, has been supplying the existing market with petroleum products. Nevertheless, NP is expecting a vessel this week that will be coming with a significant quantity of fuel that will last the country until at least mid-January 2023,” NP confirmed.

NP therefore encouraged all its customers to exercise patience, adding that they are currently selling fuel and will continue to sell.

“Management wishes to assure the public that NP will continue to do its utmost to decongest the market so that the festive season will not be negatively affected in terms of product availability,” the company noted.

NP further disclosed that at present, their vessel has just arrived in the country with over 18 thousand metric tons of diesel (AGO), and there is also another vessel containing petrol (PMS) that will be arriving before the end of the week with over 12 thousand metric tons.

“The Management of NP (SL) Limited wishes to reassure all customers of NP’s commitment to supplying fuel. NP (SL) Limited will continue to do its best to ensure that petroleum products are available in all NP and NP strategic partner stations,” they concluded.
